Kohl’s is a retailer that focuses primarily on clothing and apparel. There are clothing sections for men, women, juniors and children. They have a lingerie section and a home goods section and you can also find shoes and other accessories. The jewelry department carries watches, rings, necklaces and bracelets. There are some appliances and fitness equipment, as well as kitchen items. Kohl’s carries many different brand names, including Carter’s, ELLE, Levi’s, and Samsonite. Besides great apparel deals and coupons, Kohl’s offers a charge card service for consumers, which is a branded credit card for the store. They have a Kohl’s Cares project to give back to communities which invests in women’s health, environmental issues, and kid’s health and education.
Kohl’s History
Kohl’s was founded in 1962 and is based in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. The retailer has stores and distribution centers in 49 states. The first store was opened in Brookfield, Wisconsin and expanded to 66 stores in 1988. The company opened its 1000th store in 2008 and there are now over $15 billion in annual sales and has 11 distribution centers.
